The Big Barn
A window casts a strong light into this old barn. The floor is covered with small pieces of straw and wood shavings. In the background a hay rake and a wooden shovel can be seen along with hardwood planks awaiting use. I liked the light effect in this paint and the feel of the old barn. I spent many days playing in my grandpa’s barn and cleaning horse stalls. Old barns are getting hard to find nowadays, quickly being replaced with pre-fab metal structures. American barns, a part of our vanishing heritage.
