The Blacksmith's Shop
Probably one of the most important craftsmen in early America the blacksmith with his forge, anvil, and hammers could make anything from nail and farm implements, to kitchen S-hooks and strap hinges. I was drawn to the nice light in this composition along with the texture of the old wooded door. If you look at another painting called IRON HOOK AND DOOR you will see a close up.
