The Dry Sink
The dry sink was a common object found in most kitchens during the early periods of America. It was basically a wooden cabinet, which held a sink area for washing dishes. The big difference is that it had no running water, thus its name the DRY sink. I enjoyed this composition with the open window and the natural light. The dry sink itself was a challenge to paint since it retained several layers of old paint and varnish which added to it’s weathered look. Another western New York inspiration.
