Old Red House
This old house was painted a beautiful red. The weathered effect on the paint was quite a challenge. It took me several different layers of "glazes" to obtain the correct hues. These transparent glazes ad up to the weathered effect on the clapboards. What drew me to this composition was the amazing reflection in the glass window. The mirrored image of the summer scenery can be seen within the pains reflecting seasons of America past.
