Sconce and Baskets
I located this scene in an old railroad station in Michigan. It had some wonderful lighting effects and color which I knew would make a nice painting. The sconce casts a light which reflects the many varied hues of the wall. There was also a window off to the left which created some nice shadow effects. The baskets and table cloth were the major time consuming part of this painting, but well worth it. I think this painting creates a certain charm and warmth from our American past.
