The Shooting Club
Rough carved Mallard decoys hang from their rigging lines. Lead sinkers are shown on the ends of these lines which kept them somewhat anchored while they floated. An old photograph is hung showing two hunters standing next to their kill. These are market gunners and have shot hundred of ducks. They supplied the restaurants on the East Coast with wild duck for their menus. These decoys are rough and battle hardened. They have seen their share of the hunt. The parchment poster is an advertisement for a shooting contest to be held in Boston. I made up the information on the poster and added names of friends and family members. They will be forever famous……..
