Split Rail and Daisies
This is a painting from a scene I came across in Indiana. I found the split-rail fence to be an interesting composition and the softness of the daisies made a nice contrast. The cabin added to the genre of the scene. I liked the color and lighting on the field grass along with the rough texture and details on the fence logs. This is just another simple subject that adds to the charm of early American life.
