Wilderness Empire
I was up on one of the hills overlooking Honeyoye Lake in western New York when I spotted this great view. The lighting was perfect especially with the sun just setting. During the French and Indian War the wilderness empire was up for grabs. The entire history of our nation could have been changed with the outcome of this conflict. We would all be speaking French today if the British had not held control of this empire and it’s waterways into the rich trapping areas of America. Here we see a ranger with a native scout. The tribes of America played an important part during this war. Whoever had the most Indian allies would control the outcome.
