Winter Warrior
I enjoyed this painting because of the beautiful contrast of colors. Here we see a woodland warrior in a winter setting wearing a handsome wool blanket coat. The cape is contrasted with a red wool against the dark green of the coat's body. The warrior retains the traditional scalp lock and a deer hair roach. His face is tattooed and he wears trade silver ear and nose rings. Without warpaint this warrior is probably hunting, but always vigilant for any sign of an approaching enemy.
